Northwest Baptist Church of Miami, OK

Dr. J. Fulton Amonette has been our Senior Pastor since August 2001. He graduated from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Kansas City with a Doctoral Degree in Educational Ministry. He earned his Master of Arts Degree in Religious Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Ft. Worth and has a Bachelor's Degree in Pastoral Ministries from Dallas Baptist University. His loving spirit and sound biblical preaching/teaching promote an atmosphere of caring and understanding throughout the church.

Sandy McCorkell has been our Church Secretary since 1987. She also serves as our Church Clerk and Treasurer. On a personal note:  I love to hunt and fish with my husband & son & other family.  I hunt deer with a bow and usually get 2-6 deer a year. I use my bow during gun seasons.  We have a son and a daughter, Rhonda and John Snow gave us a grandson, Matt who is working at NEO College. Our son, Ron, works at Freeman Hosp. as a xray tech plus he repairs windshield cracks & he has rental houses. Husband, George Robert, works at Wal Mart in the shoe dept.  When his mom died  and left us just over 35 acres along Spring River, east of Miami, his brother started  building a house on his property, one sister moved a house from Picher to her acreage and is remodeling it. We started building our place in 2010 and moved in April 6th, 2011 and love it. His brother is still working on his house as of Feb. 3rd, 2012.
